At Santa Fe Presbyterian Church, we believe that children are the most important part of our ministry. We are called to develop them into future leaders of our church. We are called to learn from them the joy of unconditional love that Jesus expects us to have for each other. We are called to share in their curiosity of the universe.
While all children are welcome in worship, we also provide a highly-trained and background-checked nursery staff to watch infants to four-year-olds during both Sunday School and worship.
We love children taking an active role in worship. Each week, children serve as acolytes who light our candles. They also participate in collecting special offerings, musical leadership and more! At least once a year, we celebrate "Children's Sunday" where the children study the scripture, write the prayers, and lead in worship. We love welcoming children in worship through active participation!
At Santa Fe, we believe that relationships are an important part of the Christian journey. We love to find fun ways for children to build Christian community. In the past few months, we have gone to the Assisted Living facility near us to spread joy at Halloween. We have had a couple of pizza outing for families. And of course, we love celebrating the holidays together! It reminds us that living as a Christian is fun!
Pastor Stephanie provide a weekly chapel service for the children involved in the Santa Fe Day School during which they get a chance to learn some Bible Stories, sing, and play games so they can experience God's love in new and fun ways!
