Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.

Matthew 19:14

At Santa Fe Presbyterian Church, we believe that children are the most important part of our ministry.  We are called to develop them into future leaders of our church.  We are called to learn from them the joy of unconditional love that Jesus expects us to have for each other.  We are called to share in their curiosity of the universe.

Sunday School
Sundays Mornings
  • 9:00 AM - We have Sunday School classes before service while the adult groups also meet.  These classes include stories, music, and art that follow the Presbyterian lectionary calendar.
  • 9:45 AM - Our children's choir learns new ways to glorify God through song. They lead in worship occasionally.
  • 10:00 AM - Our children's chime choir enjoys playing music together as they learn more ways to praise God!
Children's Worship
Learning More about God!
  • During Worship - All children are invited to the front for a sermon that is just for them!  It's a time that the lesson of the day is shared in a manner that is easier for the children to relate to.  Additionally, we have activity bags and children's bulletins that allow children to be part of worship!
  • King's Quest - Most Sundays (2nd to 5th Sundays in the month), children are invited to join King's Quest where they learn about Bible stories in hands-on and engaging ways!
Nursery Services
During worship and Sunday School

While all children are welcome in worship, we also provide a highly-trained and background-checked nursery staff to watch infants to four-year-olds during both Sunday School and worship.

Leading Worship
At Santa Fe, children are given an opportunity to be a part of the program.

We love children taking an active role in worship. Each week, children serve as acolytes who light our candles. They also participate in collecting special offerings, musical leadership and more!  At least once a year, we celebrate "Children's Sunday" where the children study the scripture, write the prayers, and lead in worship. We love welcoming children in worship through active participation!

Fellowship Activities
Building Faith Community

At Santa Fe, we believe that relationships are an important part of the Christian journey. We love to find fun ways for children to build Christian community. In the past few months, we have gone to the Assisted Living facility near us to spread joy at Halloween. We have had a couple of pizza outing for families. And of course, we love celebrating the holidays together!  It reminds us that living as a Christian is fun!

SaFe Day Chapel Time

Pastor Stephanie provide a weekly chapel service for the children involved in the Santa Fe Day School during which they get a chance to learn some Bible Stories, sing, and play games so they can experience God's love in new and fun ways!
