At our church, we are deeply committed to changing lives for Christ through our missions’ programs. These projects provide both members and guests with opportunities to make a tangible difference in the community and beyond, impacting children, adults, and entire communities. We offer a variety of mission initiatives year-round, including special monthly projects, ongoing efforts, and quarterly contributions to numerous organizations.
Our support for Neighborhood Services includes financial donations, item contributions, and countless volunteer hours. We take responsibility for two apartments at the women’s shelter, provide birthday cakes and gifts for all the children there, and organize an Angel Tree at Christmas, delivering about 60 gifts to moms and children. This year, we also set up a booth at their Fair. Additionally, we support Palo Duro, a facility for individuals with mental health needs where they can reside for life—an invaluable resource as it is the only one of its kind in the state. We contribute necessary items to these residents.
We also support Urban Mission through monetary donations and volunteering. Our contributions help fund their Sparks Summer Program, which ensures children receive care and meals during school vacations. We take pleasure in stocking and packing food bags and participating in their Christmas activities.
Our mission outreach includes supporting One Great Hour of Sharing and the Christmas Joy Offering. We also contribute to organizations such as Breakfast on Boulevard, Sunbeam Family Services, and provide food and supplies for animal care centers.
Additionally, we support the Southern Oklahoma Presbyterian Parish, Goodland Academy, Infant Crisis Center, Edmond Mobile Meals, and the Hope Center. We collect eyeglasses for Dr. Gourley’s mission trips to Central America.
We remain vigilant for opportunities to assist with urgent needs, such as renovating school yards or responding to natural disasters like tornadoes and hurricanes.
Our church opens its doors and grounds to the community, hosting Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Toastmasters, youth sports practices, and various other meetings and recitals. We also offer our space for family celebrations.
Furthermore, our church shares with the whole community a Caregivers Support Group, certified by the Alzheimer’s Association, led by two dedicated members of our congregation.
