Sometimes we get so wrapped up in what we expect to see that we cannot see what is truly in front of us. Perhaps that is what was causing the temporary blindness of the disciples on their way to Emmaus. That is a challenge of our faith - keeping our eyes open enough to see the truth. But more than that, we then also have to bear witness to what we have seen.
