We see Jesus as we want to see Jesus and sometimes that leads us to overlook passages like this where Jesus can show anger and violence. It leads us to the inconvenient fact that we too often insist on looking at the world from our point of view instead of God's. This leads us to assume practical is the only way to view the world and cast off the spiritual nature of our faith.
