Jesus was dead. The disciples had been hiding out of fear, not knowing what would happen next. It took bravery to seek the tomb. And then, to find it empty? What terrible thing might happen to them next? It's no wonder that the first words from the angels were, "Do not be afraid." As we look at our world, and the challenges we face, we need to hear those words as we face the resurrection for ourselves.
