We strive to create our own rewards. Our culture celebrates, maybe even idolizes, the pursuit of these awards. They are so engrained in ourselves that it is like a default setting on a computer. However, Jeremiah, Jesus, and the Proverbs all tell us there is freedom from that pursuit through God. And only God offers the true, "water-tight", reward. Laurel tells us what that reward is and how to put ourselves on the path to that reward.
