Many of you know about NSO: Neighborhood Services Organization, as our church maintains 2 of their transitional housing apartments for mothers and their children. But they have other programs that are equally necessary in the greater OKC area. One of these is the Carolyn Williams Center. This unique program provides transitional living for homeless young men between 18-23 years old. Many of the youth come directly from foster care or youth shelters. They get help finding jobs, take weekly life skills classes, share chores and learn how to live independently to ensure their future self-sufficiency. Young men can live at the Carolyn Williams Center for up to two years.

The center is also home to a 120-day emergency shelter program, and it recently received a grant from the City of Oklahoma City to help secure permanent housing for young men coming out of the emergency shelter program.

In July, we are asking our members and visitors to assist us in purchasing $25 Walmart gift cards which will be given to the young men of Carolyn Williams Center. They will be able to use these to purchase clothing, personal care products, as well as other needs. Please put the gift cards in the offering plate on Sunday or drop them off in the office during the work week. If you prefer, you can provide a monetary donation in the amount of your choosing and the Mission Committee will then purchase the gift cards. Click here to learn more about the center

As always, we thank you for your participation in our Mission projects.
