October Mission Project

Our church is joining other Indian Nation Presbytery Churches for our October Mission Project in providing disaster relief to areas affected by recent hurricanes and flooding. These areas, to date, are largely in Louisiana, Alabama and Florida, but with other tropical storms forming, our efforts may extend beyond these 3 states.

There are a number of items that these areas are presently in need of:

Non-perishable meat products
Rakes and shovels
First aid kits
Work gloves
Contractor bags
Hygiene kits

We are proposing that our church members donate a monetary amount which will be used to purchase some of these items.  The Mission Committee has been approved by Session to use monetary donations to make these purchases. In addition, a portion of the Mission budget will be used to purchase a large number of hygiene kits which typically cost around $4/kit or $96/case.

We have volunteers ready within INP to help us drive our donations/purchased items to the nearest designated collection point.

We are so thankful that our church members are always behind the Mission projects, understanding the needs identified and so willing to give what they can to help others who are in need.
