Santa Fe is proud of its mission’s involvement. We support international, national and local mission organizations through contributions to Presbyterian Church USA, the Indian Nations Presbytery and direct mission giving. We participate in the PCUSA Peacemaking Offering, the Joy Offering and the Pentecost Offering.
Our Missions committee organizes a monthly missions project. Projects include:
- Goodland Home in Hugo, Oklahoma for disadvantaged and/or neglected boys that unable to live at home. We support the Goodland Home with monetary and in-kind donations.
- Citizens Caring for Children provides support for foster children by providing material and emotional support. We support them with in kind donations, clothing ar
ticles and school supplies. - CROP Walk raises money to combat hunger through local agencies that provide nutritional services. In Edmond, many local churches, including SFPC, send walkers for this annual event.
- Urban Missions (formerly Presbyterian Urban Missions) is supported by monetary and in-kind contributions, work days and sponsorships. Urban Missions serves families and children through a food pantry, clothing store, thrift store, after-school program for children, and many special projects throughout the year.
- Hope Center of Edmond provides emergency support for those in need of food, clothing, and financial assistance. We provide monetary and in-kind donations.
- Oklahoma Blood Institute is supported by Santa Fe blood drives twice a year.
- Infant Crisis Center provides for the needs of infants of disadvantaged mothers. We support ICS through in-kind and monetary donations and the work of our volunteers.
- Edmond Animal Shelter is supported through collection of food and supplies.
- Edmond Mobile Meals delivers hot meals to senior citizens. We have volunteers who deliver meals and we also provide monetary donations and foodstuffs.
- Souper Bowl of Caring is an effort by our Youth. The congregation participates by raising money and contributing food for hunger relief.
- Second Wind is a new coffee house near the University of Oklahoma that offers coffee and fellowship in a Christian atmosphere. This program receives quarterly support from our church.
- Southern Oklahoma Presbyterian Parish serves three small PC(USA) churches in southern Oklahoma. Their Parish Nurse programs provide health information in an area of our state that is medically underserved. Our church assists this parish in financial support of the Parish Nurse program.
Santa Fe also participates in missions through:
Evelyn’s Community Garden provides gardening plots to members of the community who wish plant and harvest the gifts that grow as a result.- Centsability collections each month go to fighting hunger in our community, nationally and around the world. We ask that you bring small change or other monies to worship on the last Sunday of each month for collection. Read more click here
- Sister Rosemary and Gulu Girls is a residential school is Uganda for girls who are the victims of sexual abuse and political violence. We support the Gulu girls through monetary contributions.
