Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ
We commit ourselves:
To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
To support the mission of the church worldwide,
To work for justice and peace,
To build an inclusive caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and
witnesses to the Promise of God’s Kingdom
The Birthday Offering is a PW offering collected in the spring of each year to celebrate the blessings in the lives of Presbyterian Women. The offering funds up to five projects that are not included in ongoing General Assembly mission support, such as agricultural development, child care, community organization, criminal justice, drug counseling, economic justice, elderly care, employment training, homelessness, literacy, violence and women’s concerns.
The Thank Offering is a PW offering collected in the fall of each year that gives women a tangible way to express their gratitude for the special blessings in their lives. The offering funds projects such as agricultural development, child care, community organization, criminal justice, drug counseling, economic justice, elderly care, employment training, homelessness, literacy, violence and women’s concerns. At least 40 percent of this offering supports health ministries throughout the world. The remaining 60 percent funds new creative ideas for mission.
Fellowship of the Least Coin
The Fellowship of the Least Coin (FLC) is an ecumenical prayer movement focused on peace, justice and reconciliation. As each of us offers prayers, we should set aside a least coin as a symbol of our prayers. As they are collected, these coins join many others from all parts of the world to advance the causes of justice, peace and reconciliation and to support a variety of projects that help women and children achieve a better life.
The Santa Fe Women’s Circles are:
Martha Circle – 2nd Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall
The members of Martha Circle cordially invite all women to join us in the Church Fellowship Hall at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13 as we begin the Presbyterian Women “Horizons” study “Cloud of Witnesses.” This study is about the book of Hebrews.
Meetings are on the second Wednesday of each month from September – May. We begin with fellowship time, followed by member-led discussions on the selected lesson.
In nine lessons, the author invites participants to explore major themes found in Hebrews, relate these themes to other parts of our faith tradition, and tie them together with the overarching motif of community.
Hannah Circle – 3rd Tuesday at 7:00p.m. at member’s homes
Hannah Circle begins Tuesday September 19th at 7 p.m. Please join us——-lots of fellowship, laughs, dessert, and oh, did I mention bible study too? Our study book is “A Mile Wide” by Brandon Hatmaker. If you don’t have one already, please contact the church office.
