What are CROP Hunger Walks?

Neighbors walking together to raise funds to end hunger in their community and around the world. Together – with different ages, faiths and backgrounds – we raise money and awareness to end hunger, one step at a time. With 1,500 communities across the country walking each year, we are America’s Hunger Walk.

Last year, SFPC had 8 registered walkers (plus about 10-15 more from SPFC who didn’t register but walked to support us) who raised $745 for CROP Walk. This is a decrease from previous years, so the Mission Committee will be reaching out to all of the church to participate in the 2015 Walk for Hunger.

Here’s what we ask from YOU:

Sign up to walk. Set aside 2 hours of your time on November 5, from 2:00-4:00. The Walk will be held in Mitch Park. Registration is in the Narthex.   If you are not able to walk with us, please sign up to be a sponsor. Sign up in the Narthex or talk to Cindy Thomas.    Ask family, friends, or other church members to sponsor your walk. Sponsors can choose how much they wish to contribute.  Walkers: Collect your sponsor donations and place in your Registration Packet.   Set a goal for how much you wish to raise/donate for CROP Walk.
