The January/February 2012 issue of Horizons (The magazine of Presbyterian Women) focuses solely on telling the experiences of the Global Exchange participants.  Quoting from the magazine, “The Global Exchange is a triennial program of PW that focuses on building relationships with church partners, women’s organizations and especially Christian sisters around the world.  Before the trip, participants committed to “celebrating faithfulness, listening and learning how human trafficking and environmental issues are impacting women and children in Asia, and living God’s call to justice and action.”

On Saturday, February 25, 2012 the Indian Nation and Cimarron Presbyteries will have the privilege of meeting and hearing first hand from one of the participants, Joy Durrant.   Please join us, here at Santa Fe Presbyterian church at 9:30 a.m. for a look into India’s issues and how God uses each and every one of us in the cause for justice in the world.

The Gathering of Presbyterian Women

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy habitation of the Most High.
God is in the midst of the city; it shall not be moved;
God will help it when the morning dawns.       Psalm 46:4-5

The Gathering, held once every three years, is an opportunity for Presbyterian women from across the country (and around the world!) to gather for worship, education, community-building, fun and renewal. Participants will enjoy workshops, tours, forums,  inspiring speakers and worship. PW’s Triennial Business Meeting also takes place during the Gathering, where budget, leadership and programmatic emphases will be decided.  In 2012, the Gathering will be held July 18–22 in Orlando, Florida, (all under one roof) at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center. Themed “River of Hope,” the 2012 Gathering will renew our hope and explore Psalm 46:4–5.
